WYALUSING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WETM) – A Massachusetts man was taken to Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital after a motorcycle crash on US Highway 6.
Pennsylvania State Police say the accident happened in the afternoon on Aug. 15 when a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer was exiting a scenic overlook. The driver, a 73-year-old female, make an improper entrance and attempted to make a left turn when it struck two motorcycle riders.
Paul Townsend, 60, of Sharon, Mass. and his passenger Judith Townsend, 59, were ejected off the bike. Mr. Townsend was caught underneath the motorcycle.
Both riders were transported to Guthrie Towanda Memorial by Wysox Volunteer EMS. Mr. Townsend was injured with unknown severity.
The driver of the Mercury refused transport to the hospital and was cited by State Police.
