A murder-suicide in Bradford County leaves neighbors reeling, wondering what went wrong. Police are trying to determine what caused a man to kill three people inside their home in Wyalusing, before taking his own life.

Investigators say Jesse Northrup stopped taking his medication. It’s unclear as to what the medication was for, but the coroner says 3 of the medications are “concerning to stop abruptly and for an extended period of time.” Northrup also lost his job days before the shooting.

Lawmakers are racing against the clock to legalize recreational marijuana before the legislative session ends on Wednesday, but there is still some uncertainty. Legislators are still debating on different components surrounding the legalization. Not everyone is hopeful that differences will be resolved before Wednesday.

A community is being asked to support a local family after a horrific tragedy. A vigil will be held today for 8-month old Ruby Franciscovich, the infant who was found dead in a pond behind a cemetery in Owego. Prosecutors say her father raped the child before killing her and placing her body in the pond. He has been charged with first-degree murder. The organizers say the public is invited to attend and are encouraged to wear red for Ruby.
