The 18 year old who was driving the car that killed a Horseheads couple last July will appear in court today. Caden Charnetski pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter in January. He is facing charges in connection with the deaths of Harolyn and Matthew Matteson, who were killed when Charnetski struck the couple on their motorcycle head-on. 


Taxes could be going up for residents in one Twin Tiers community. Taxes in the city of Corning are expected to go up one and a half percent, as part of next year’s budget. Officials say the proposed budget is below the state tax cap, keeps all services in place and does not require any further reduction of the city’s full-time workforce of 102 employees.


12 lives were lost in a senseless shooting in Virginia Beach over the weekend. The community is now paying tribute to those 12 people. Meanwhile, police are releasing new details about the gunman and the moments that led up the shooting.
