As severe weather sweeps through the country, multiple tornadoes tore through northeast Pennsylvania Monday. The national weather service and residents surveyed the damage and are now trying to pick up the pieces from the disaster. 

Firefighters in the town of Caton are hoping to upgrade their fire hall, but the tax payers say no. The current building is aged and needs upgrades. The hope was that the new building would last for another 70 to 80 years, but not everyone is on board with the the project that could cost $2.8 million. 

Lieutenent Governor Kathy Hochul will be making a stop in the Twin Tiers to push the newly passed New York State budget. She’ll be giving a presentation in Elmira inside the Hazlett building.
