Finger lakes eat smart new york presented the “My plate for my family workshop.” on Wednesday.
It was a day for people to learn about eating healthy. Topics included receiving recipes, nutrition tips, and information on successful gardening. Painted post food pantry operations manager Ralph Sutter stressed the importance of serving the community.
“We’ve seen a slight downtick in our clients.” Said Sutter, “I think that’s probably good news for a lot of people. We are here to serve anybody and everyone without question. ” Sutter believes it is important to learn the learn nutritional aspects of food and producing your own food.
There are two remaining dates left for the family workshops, May 15 and 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the events will be held at the Painted Post food pantry.
