Georgia Verdier, President of the NAACP Elmira/Corning Branch stops by 18 News Today to discuss their upcoming Freedom Fund banquet.
The Elmira/Corning branch of the NAACP will be celebrating it’s 100th year of operation during it’s annual Freedom Fund banquet.
This event allows the branch to recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the branch and community. They will also award financial assistance grants to high school students, community service awards, raise funds for branch operations, and more.
