It’s election day in Pennsylvania and polls were open for residents to exercise their civil responsibility.
Over at St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre, Judge of Elections, Melissa Post stressed the need for voter turnout and the importance of getting to the polls to fill the seats that need to be filled.
“Our congressional representative resigned at end of last year, so we are electing a representative to take that seat,” said Judge of Elections Melissa Post. “Everyone is eligible to vote for that particular seat. Other than that democrats and republicans are eligible to vote on their primary for that particular primary,” added Post.
Post said even though it’s a primary, voters need to take it seriously and make it a priority to head to the polls.
