Police investigating stabbing in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Elmira Police are investigating a stabbing early Friday morning in the area of W. Hudson and Chestnut Street.

A 39-year-old Elmira man told police that approximately eight black men stabbed him multiple times around 3:30 a.m. A 21-year-old female also told police she was thrown to the ground by the same group.

Several of the puncture wounds were to the victim’s back. He was transported to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for his wounds.
