Popple Ridge Pumpkins Patch keeps family tradition alive

Local News

A Steuben County family is turning grief into something positive.

Mark Novak, a local farmer in Bradford, N.Y. passed away in March 2017 after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, his children decided to keep his family tradition alive.

Popple Ridge Pumpkins Patch is filled with fun fall activities from apple sling shots, a corn maze, hay rides and of course picking out the perfect pumpkin.

“When he did his pumpkin patch, he would invite all of the kids from the neighborhoods just to come and pick their pumpkins and send them home,” said Novak.

The pumpkin patch was a favorite autumn tradition for the Novak family so they’ve now opened their farm to the public to keep the family tradition alive.

Popple Ridge Pumpkins Patch is on 3300 County Route 22 in Bradford, New York
