An Elmira man who was wanted in connection to a robbery that took place in November was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop.

An Elmira Police Officer spotted Tareek Simmons in the back passenger seat of a car on Lake Street around midnight on Sunday.

When the officer initiated a traffic stop, Simmons fled. After a brief chase, he was eventually taken into custody.
