Sunday was the 21st annual Susan G. Komen Twin Tiers Race for the Cure.
Plenty of people gathered in the parking lot in front of the Chemung Canal Trust Company Building for the 5K race.
Runners ran or walked around Downtown Elmira in support of finding a cure for breast cancer.
Some people were there to support friends and family. Others were racing for even bigger reasons.
“I’m putting this out for my consumer, I’m here for you, your awesome and I worked for you and myself,” Melissa Costello, a 25-year cancer survivor, said.
The race had both a 5K and one-mile walk. Children also had the chance to participate in a race set up for them.
