A popular Twin Tiers restaurant has closed it’s doors for good.
‘Sample This Barbecue’ in Horseheads is the latest in a string of local restaurants to go out of business.
Horigan’s, a well known Irish Pub in Elmira, is another.
18 News confirms the closure of Sample, with owner Andrew Sample.
Last week, Sample was in Horseheads Town Court facing charges of theft.
A food supplier accused Sample of failing to pay them for services.
When we asked Sample by phone about his financial problems, he declined to comment and hung up.
Over the weekend, Sample posted these photos of restaurant equipment for sale on a local Facebook page.
According to the Horseheads Town Clerk, Sample is due back in court this Wednesday at 9am for further proceedings regarding those theft claims.
