Recent indoor air quality tests conducted at Sayre High School have come back negative. The district released the following statement on their website:

“A NOTICE TO PARENTS, GUARDIANS, and STAFF Sayre Area School District Air Quality – Post-test Results for SHS Football Locker Room September 2018 Dear Parent/Guardian: This notice serves as a follow-up to the recent message we posted regarding the indoor air quality (IAQ) in the football locker room in the basement of Sayre High School. Recently, we received the results of the air quality samples we took in the football locker room in the basement of Sayre High School, and we are pleased to report that the IAQ test results were negative. Accordingly, we opened the facility for use last evening, and we will continue to monitor the area to ensure that there are acceptable indoor air quality levels. We appreciate your patience in this matter, and we thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns at sgriggs@sayresd.org or at (570) 888-7615. Sincerely, Sherry E. Griggs Dr. Sherry E. Griggs, Superintendent.”
