Section of Route 2027 in Tioga County closed due to safety concerns

MONTOURSVILLE, Pa. (WETM) – PennDOT has announced the long-term closure of a section of Route 2027 (Canoe Camp Creek Road) in Tioga County due to safety concerns related to an embankment failure.

Canoe Camp Creek Road will be closed between Route 2005 (Williamson Road) and Route 2022 (East Hill Road) beginning Monday, August 12.

The road will remain closed until further notice and PennDOT is assessing the situation.

A long-term detour will be in place using East Hill Road, Williamson Road, and Route 660 and Route 2005 (Main Street).

Westgate Road will remain accessible from the Village of Canoe Camp via Canoe Camp Creek Road.
