BATH, N.Y. (WTEM) – On Thursday, Sept. 26 a meeting will be held at the Civil Defense Center in Bath to help farm employers and HR managers better understand the New York State Sexual Harassment Prevention Regulations.
Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Southwest New York Dairy, Livestock & Field Crops Program (SWNYDLFC) is working to help farm owners, agricultural employers, and human resource managers better understand the new NYS Sexual Harassment Prevention Regulations which go into full effect on October 9, 2019.
Katelyn Walley-Stoll, Farm Business Management Specialist with SWNYDLFC will be leading the discussion. She will discuss the regulations and associated deadlines, resources available to farm employers, and understanding compliance for your business. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will supply a light lunch and handouts. Minimum participation is five farms for each location, and maximum is 20 farms.
The Civil Defense Center is located at 7220 State Route 54 in Bath, and registrants must RSVP by 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 25. The cost is $10 per person.
