BATH, N.Y. (WETM) – Steuben County Legislature Chairman Joe Hauryski has proclaimed the week of Sept. 22-28 Steuben County Sheriff’s Week.
“The Office of Sheriff has been an integral part of the criminal justice system in New York State and in our county since in the state’s first constitution in 1777,” Hauryski said. “Its members have always served the people in Steuben with honor and distinction.”
“Our men and women work hard day in and day out to be responsive and accountable to the public we serve,” said county Sheriff Jim Allard. “This year we reached a new level of service with our members becoming certified Emergency Medical Technicians. I can only say I am proud to be associated with this department, which strives to live up to the principles of professionalism, integrity, leadership and service.”
