The Owego Strawberry Festival kicks off this weekend. This event has taken place in the Historic Owego Marketplace for the last 39 years to mark the start of the strawberry season.
There will be live entertainment, food, vendors and lots of strawberries. The event will last until Saturday, June 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. It all starts with a street fair June 14 beginning at 5 p.m. and fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Visitors and residents should be aware that the following streets will be closed starting at 4:00pm:
Lake Street between Main Street and Front Street.
Front Street between Church Street and Academy Street.
Court Street between Main Street and Front Street
