Adara Alston and Tom Primerano from the Elmira Little Theater stop by 18 News Today to discuss their upcoming production of Twelve Angry Jurors.
The play is about a young man accused of murdering his father. A group of jurors are tasked with reaching a guilty or not guilty verdict. They spend an afternoon in a New York courthouse deliberating the facts of a case that will determine the young man’s fate.
Each juror reveals their biases, weaknesses and strengths all while highlighting the complex U.S. judicial system.
The play opens Friday, May 17 at the Clemens Center’s Mandeville Hall. There will be additional showings May 18, 24 and 25. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. There will be matinee showings May 19 and 26 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $19 for adults and $17 for students and seniors. Tickets are available for purchase on the Clemens Center website.
