The Second Annual Activate Autism Awareness event is officially set

Employment Solutions and Community Arts of Elmira believe there is a need for increased Autism Awareness in our community.

In partnership, they designed this experience for kids to be themselves and to express themselves through creativity. Pre-Registration is encouraged as space is limited.

The public is asked to contact to register.

“Activate Autism Awareness offers engaging, sensory-friendly, interactive creative stations for all children Pre-K to sixth grade, as well as tremendous networking opportunities for adults interested in learning more about Autism or in need of informational support resources,” explained Lynne Rusinko, President, Community Arts of Elmira.

Sensory-friendly Interactive Creative Stations: Texture Boards Eye Spy Bags Water Bead Suncatcher Cloud Dough Elsa’s Frozen Hands Kaleidoscope Window Mosaic During Activate Autism Awareness, two interactive sessions will be offered 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM.

During the sessions, sensory-friendly stations designed for Pre-K to 6th-grade students will be available.

Family members, care providers, and members of the community also can interact during the event to enhance their support networks, engaging with community vendor support resources for Autism.
