UPDATE (1:45 PM): The trooper has been identified as New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark, age 29, of Troupsburg.

The suspect has been identified as Stephen Kiley, 43. Kiley was later found dead inside the residence of an apparent gunshot wound.

A State Trooper was shot and killed while responding to the scene of a person barricaded within a house in New York’s Southern Tier Monday morning, according to the Associated Press.
In addition to the Trooper, the suspect is reportedly dead.
A number of police agencies are at the scene of the incident on Powderhouse Road in the Corning area.
The Trooper – who has not been identified – was reportedly responding to a domestic incident.
Residents in the area told 18 News that they received a phone alert telling them to “stay inside and lock their doors.”
State Police told 18 News that the scene was “active” and that a shooting had occurred.
