Two People Injured Following Overnight Shooting in Elmira

Two people are being treated at area hospitals following an overnight shooting in the area of Oak St. and East Washington Ave. early Sunday morning in the City of Elmira.

According to the Elmira Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2 a.m. Shortly after arrival, police discovered a shooting had taken place.

At this point, police do not believe the injuries sustained by the two victims are life-threatening, and no suspects have been arrested. 

According to police, the area of 421 E. Washington Ave. is playing a large role in the investigation.
