Two people injured in Bradford County accident

ROME TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WETM) – Two people were taken to Robert Packer Hospital Saturday morning after a head-on crash.

State Police in Towanda responded to Rome Road near Route 487 after receiving word that a person was entrapped inside a vehicle.

According to documents provided by State Polioce, a 2005 Dodge Stratus, driven by 21-year-old Ryan Russell of Rome, struck another vehicle head-on while trying to avoid a car that slowed down in front of him.

The second vehicle involved as a 2018 Buick Enclave driven by 87-year-old Beverly Beers of Wysox, Pa. 

Both drivers were removed by Fire/EMS and transported to Robert Packer Hospital with unknown injuries, some suspected to be severe.

Wysox Fire Department, Vigilante Fire Department, Guthrie EMS, Wysox Fire/Police, and Williams Garage assisted State Police.
