UPDATE:: According to Chemung County Sheriff, Christopher Moss, the 10-year-old hospitalized following an ATV accident, on Saturday, is now in stable condition.
A 10-year-old girl is now in the hospital after being ejected from an ATV.
At 4 p.m., Chemung County Sheriff Deputies responded to Shady Knoll Drive in Big Flats. They found the girl pinned under the ATV.
She was freed by emergency responders from the Golden Glow Fire Department. She was transported to Robert Packer Hospital for head and facial injuries.
The sheriff’s office says the ATV was operated by a 30-year-old Elmira man. His speed is unknown.
Neither had helmets on and charges are pending.
