The New York State Department of Labor has released updated unemployment numbers.
The state’s unemployment rate has dropped to a record low of 3.9 %.
In November, New York’s job count rose by 5200.
Every metropolitan area in the state experienced non-farm job growth, which includes private sector and government jobs, from November 2017 to November 2018 except Binghamton and Elmira.
Both regions experienced a loss of 300 jobs, which equates to 0.3% of a loss for Binghamton and 0.8% for Elmira.
