Urban Corning is hosting a public forum Tuesday evening to discuss the feasibility of passenger rail service between the Southern Tier and The Big Apple.
The popular local blog/website published an April Fool’s Day post this year that caused a bit of excitement and confusion for some. The post suggested that passenger rail service would soon be re-established between downtown Corning and New York City. However, it was just an April Fool’s Day joke.
The post did generate a lot of interest and conversation on the subject – so, Tuesday evening they are holding a forum to discuss passenger rail service.
The forum will take place at the Community Room in the Southeast Steuben County Library, Corning from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
