One rescued after house fire in Watkins Glen

UPDATE (6:09 p.m.): The Watkins Glen Fire Department has released new information on Thursday morning’s house fire.

The fire department says the fire was on the second floor and one trapped person was rescued from the backdoor without incident.

The fire was then extinguished without incident.

The Watkins Glen Fire Department was further assisted on the scene by the Montour Falls Fire Department, Burdett Fire Department, Odessa Fire Department, and the Beaver Dams Fire Department.


WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM) – Officials tell 18 News that a fire in Watkins Glen is under investigation.

Two people were inside the house and one person had to be rescued by fire and police, but no one was hospitalized.
