Watkins-Stock, a play off of Woodstock 50, is taking place this summer with new artists and musicians from around the area.

Rock Stream Vineyards hosted one rising musician named Rylee Lum as well as the event organizer about the importance of the event and the excitement for it’s open in August.

“I’ve been playing guitar for three and a half years now,” said musician Rylee Lum.  “I am very excited about this event. It’ll be a lot of fun,” Lum added.

The promoter of the upcoming concert believes this is a huge opportunity do something special.

“I saw this as an opportunity to help out the New York State Sheriffs camp, Camp Iroquois which helps disadvantaged children go to camp for a week,” said Watkins – Stock concert promoter Ray Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald said he is not worried about competing with Woodstock 50. He sees this concert as a chance to bring the community together and simply have fun with whole family while promoting a good cause.

The concert is sponspored by Rock Stream Vineyards and will be held on August 17 at 2 p.m. at Lafayette Park, Watkins Glen.
