Tuesday, September 25 is National Voter Registration Day, and there are plenty of ways for residents in the Twin Tiers to register today.
You must be registered if you want to vote in November’s general election. Even if you have registered in the past, it’s a good idea to check to see if you’re still registered. Some circumstances, such as a move, even within the same town or county, require re-registration.
If you want to change party affiliation, you will also need to re-register. Any party change would be effective starting in 2019’s primary elections.
To find out if you are registered to vote, enter your information into the NYS Voter Registration Search: https://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/
