This summer, new and innovative ideas are being implemented at the Wisner Market in Elmira.
The event, held at Wisner Park, introduces a new tent for people to visit involving coding laws. The booth had information about building and zoning codes that could effect property owners. The codes cover topics such as fencing and lead paint, which could be helpful in making sure you’re in a safe environment. The code enforcement officer on site shared why he feels their evolvement is important.
We want to make sure people of this city know we’re a resource that we’re there for them, that if they have a question feel free to come in or call any phone numbers on the city website,” said Elmira Code Enforcement Michael Ranstrom. “So they can get information that they really need, or really want into their hands and have their life get better.”
Code Enforcement will stay at the Wisner Market every Thursday throughout this summer.
