Woodstock 50 impacts local businesses

Local News

Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel is one local business that is receiving some backlash after Watkins Glen International terminated their site license with the Woodstock 50 festival.

The hotel’s General Manager, Scott Bell, said so far they have only had a hand full of cancelations.

“I don’t have much to say besides I’m sorry to see it go,” Bell said.

He said the hotel is honoring the cancelations but despite the festival’s site termination, they are encouraging people to stay and enjoy everything else Watkins Glen has to offer.

Woodstock 50 insists the festival will continue at a different venue. The event is slated for August 16-18, 2019.
