Jonathan Romig, 31, of Horseheads was arrested after he was hospitalized on Tuesday according to the Horseheads Police Department.

Romig was in Collingwood Trailer Park claiming to be followed by hostile persons. He entered an occupied vehicle and demanded to be driven to the police station. The driver called her family who alerted 9-1-1.

After the resident did so the police arrived and took him into custody.

Romig has been charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

He was arraigned in Elmira Heights Village Court and sent to the Chmeung County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash bail.

He is scheduled to reappear in Village of Horseheads Court at a later date.
