100 West Water Street apartments are nearly ready to have occupants move in.
Currently there are over 30 leases and 17 of which have not been leased.
According to Property Manager Andy Bodewes, expectations are high.
“We’ve been working on this for about three years, it’s been a long time frame,” said Bodewes. “I think it’s going to be a good project,” added Bodewes.
With the ground floor under constdtuction, it won’t be for too long as commerical space is being take up by Wells Fargo and Architecture and Engineering firm, LaBella Associates, of which are poised to provide a much needed economic boost.
“They’ll be bringing about thirty jobs into Downtown Elmira,” said Bodewes. “We are pleased to have them in our building,” added Bodewes.
And the best is still yet to come.
“The combination of people livng here and socializing, will create more economic opportunity,” said Bodewes. “It means More business and people comign Downtown,” added Bodewes.
Excitement for filling the units up is running high, too. It’s a project that is coming together.
“We are exciteed for what it’ll mean for Elmira and hopefully creates a spark for Downtown,” said Bodewes.
