ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Marcus Johnson is one of the many talented artist that will be performing at the Ferrario Elmira Jazz Festival this coming weekend.
To date, Johnson has released more than fifteen Billboard charted CDs, and has the distinction of having his groundbreaking 2008 Billboard Top 20
Contemporary Jazz FLO (For the Love Of) Anthology, which consisted of three distinct CDs — FLO Chill, FLO Romance and FLO Standards – all chart
Top 10 on Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts simultaneously.
Keiko Matsui will be kicking off The Ferrario Elmira Jazz Festival on Friday,
August 9th at the Clemens Center in Elmira from 6 to 9 pm.
Tickets on Friday are $50 and heavy hors d’oeuvres are included.
On Saturday, August 10th the festival moves outdoors to Thorne Street Park in Horseheads from 1 to 7 pm. This is when you can catch Marcus Johnson’s captivating music.
Saturday’s outdoor show will also feature saxophonist JAZMIN GHENT, festival staple keyboardist MARCUS JOHNSON, and local favorite TOP SHELF!
Saturday’s event features lawn seating, food, and beverage provided by the EOP CFJP Bistro, and vendors including regional wines.
You may bring your own cooler with food and drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol). Pets and grills are not permitted at this event, please.
Tickets are $40 and all proceeds benefit the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc.
