Missing Corning teen found safe, man found with her under arrest


The Steuben County Sheriff says sixteen-year-old Alexis Hostrander has been found on Reynolds Ave. in Corning. She was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Police say she ran away from home and got into a waiting vehicle on Dec. 13, 2018.

Quinnton A. Johnson, 18, has been charged with second-degree custodial interference and endangerment of a child. He was arraigned in the Town of Erwin Court and he’s currently in the Steuben County jail. 

Police believe the two had a relationship.

The Sheriff’s Office thanks the New York State Police, Painted Post Police, and the Corning Police Department.
