Democratic Congressional Nominee, Tracy Mitrano, announced that the Young Women’s Leadership Conference is now accepting applications.
The conference will include presentations from three local leaders: Nancy Bargar, former Majority Leader of the Chautauqua County Legislature, Leslie Danks Burke, former State Senate candidate, and Sydney Hewit who is a Corning high school student and local organizer.
“I’ve met so many young women who are passionate and engaged with what’s going on in the world today,” Mitrano said. “These girls are our future. I’m very excited about this conference, which I hope will give these young women an opportunity to engage with their community and their peers, and most of all, to see themselves as potential leaders.”
The event is a fundraiser for Mitrano’s Congressional campaign. There is no cost for attendees, who will each be sponsored by a donor. On the application, girls can indicate if they are in need of transportation to the conference. The campaign will be arranging rides for anyone who needs it.
You can stop by the event at Union Hall in Corning on Sunday, October 21 from 1:00pm to 4:30 p.m.
