The bench trial for Caden Charnetski presses on. Day seven ended with new revelations. Experts are now saying that calculations are leading them to believe the Mattesons could have been speeding at about 60 to 63 miles per hour at the time of the fatal crash. This comes after last week’s expert testimony with New York state police investigator, David Bly, on accident reconstruction.

He put the Matteson’s motorcycle speed at about 30 miles per hour. The trial continues today at 9 a.m. in Chemung County court.

A nearly 10 year old missing persons case has been solved. Human remains found in Horseheads back in April have now been identified by police as Randy Nichols, a man who vanished over nine years ago. Multiple agencies were involved in this case, including the FBI.
