Target has agreed to pay Visa millions of dollars related to the store’s massive credit card data breach in 2013.
Both companies confirmed the deal but neither provided a dollar amount.
Sources are reporting it could be as much at 67 million dollars.
Target’s computer system was compromised during the holiday season of 2013 allowing hackers to steal 40 million credit and debit card numbers, and personal information for up to 70 million customers.
Both companies stressed this deal has the backing of financial issuers of Visa cards as part of the agreement.
A deal between Target and Mastercard fell apart last May, largely because financial issuers were not behind the agreement.
