The Neighborhood Transformation Center runs several free programs to aid the Elmira community as part of its mission to “change neighborhoods, one family at a time.”
Some of those programs include an after-school program, a new laundry program that allows single parents and the homeless to get their laundry done for free, and a family meal program held every Thursday and Saturday evening.
In an effort to raise money for all of these programs, the Center is hosting a charity golf tournament next Saturday, Sept. 29. Registration begins at 8:00a.m. and golfers will start teeing off at 9:00a.m.
There will also be multiple contests with guaranteed prizes and a chance to shoot for $1,000,000.
Participation can range from simply being a golfer in the tournament, a volunteer, or a sponsor.
