Nexstar Broadcasting Marks “Founder’s Day” Friday

Friday is a special day for all of us here at WETM-TV as we at Nexstar Broadcasting celebrate Founder’s Day of Caring.

20 years-ago, on June 17, 1996, Nexstar Broadcasting Group launched its service to our communities with one station in Pennsylvania.

The company, under the leadership of Perry Sook, chairman, president and CEO, has grown to 115 stations serving tens of millions of people across the United States.
On Friday, volunteers from WETM-TV will be volunteering at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier along with painting flower boxes around downtown Elmira.

Nexstar CEO Perry Sook will make a donation for each hour we volunteer.
