New York State Police say divers have pulled three bodies from a submerged vehicle in a body of water in Tully.

Earlier in the day, State Police were in the area of Gatehouse Road looking for three people reported missing.

A witness called to tell police that they had found a vehicle fitting the description of the car the three were last seen riding in.

“We are very concerned,” New York State Police, Capt. Jeff Raub said. “We want to locate the individuals who were reported missing. That’s a primary concern to us. We are hoping that no one is in the vehicle. Clearly we’re hoping that everyone is safe and alive but at this point time will tell.”

While police will not confirm a connection to the missing persons case, a vehicle was towed away from the pond that matches the description of the 2011 Ford Explorer they were looking for.
