One behind bars, others to follow after drugs and cash seized, police say

A 42-year-old man is behind bars in the City of Hornell after the Hornell Police Department searched an apartment Friday night.

Police said the man, Jason Shinebarger, had over two ounces of methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, weapons and over $1,900 in cash.

The charges include criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police added they are still investigating and said more arrests will follow.
