‘Papa Johns’ closes its doors

The popular pizza chain ‘Papa Johns’ announced that it closed the doors to its store on Prescott Ave., in Elmira Heights last night.

In a statement on the restaurants Facebook page, the owners said that they are retiring from the restaurant business. 

The statement reads, in part: “We have been absent owners for the past two years pursuing other professional goals and just don’t have the time, energy and desire to devote to the business any longer.”

The restaurant opened four years ago, and closed its doors for the final time at 8 p.m. Sunday.
