The Park Church in Elmira held a “Souper Bowl” luncheon for pre-game festivities in hopes of getting out in the community to support those who are hungry.
The church promoted a day to break bread with a hot meal, which included soup, to spread good fellowship within the community.
“It’s nice to have the fellowship in our folks here,” said Park Church member Janice Butts. “And it’s nice to know they are anxious to contribute and they are always generous,” said Janice Butts.
She added that she’s not a big football fan, but when it’s time for “The Big Game” she’s into watching.
This year she is rooting for the Rams to take it all.
