Pine City man keeps wife’s memory alive through donation and awareness

News

Experiencing cancer or losing someone to the illness is never easy. One Pine City man knows it first hand.

Bob Gressel lost his wife to breast cancer last july.

Though he is still grieving, he donated $5,000 un his wife’s honor to the Falck Cancer Center. The center is where she was treated.

“It’s so nice, being our local cancer center” Gressel said. “It’s not like you’re strangers, everyone that comes here is someone that you know or family or yourself.”

Gressel will host a “Croquet Against Cancer” fundraiser on August 4th. The cost is just $10 per person.

For more information on how to register or to donate, you can call the Arnot Health Foundation at (607) 733-6541 ext. 2336.
