ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM-TV/NBC) – In the wake of two mass shootings within a week, The Biden White House is intensifying its calls for new gun legislation.
The House passed two bills that would expand background checks. Now, the Vice President is urging the Senate to take action.
Democrats would need at least 10 Republican senators to pass those bills. However, Republicans are opposed, arguing, stiffer gun laws would violate Americans’ second amendment rights.
Our political team takes on this topic in this week’s edition of Political Talk.
