ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM-TV) – Welcome to Political Talk with Tom Santulli and Dora Leland.
On Tuesday of this week, Governor Andrew Cuomo proposed a $178 billion budget that would increase overall state spending by 6%. The governor’s budget calls for closing a $6 billion dollar deficit by reducing the growth of Medicaid, limiting aid to local programs, and expecting tax revenues to grow by $2 billion dollars. The budget would increase school aid, legalize recreational marijuana and reduce business and middle-class taxes.
Tom, what is your opinion on the governor’s budget?
Dora, what is your take on the budget?
That’s all the time we have for this segment of political talk. See you next Thursday.
