ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Former Elmira Mayor Sue Skidmore has dropped out of the mayoral race for the City of Elmira.

18 News will host a debate between Mayor Mandell and Democratic challenger Alex Sweet at the Clemens Center on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Chemung County Sheriff candidates Bill Schrom and Art Laurey will debate in the first half-hour of the event, followed by the mayoral debate.

Seating is first come-first served.
