Seventy protesters were arrested in New York City, while they tried to send a message about the news coverage of climate change.
They were members of the group “extinction rebellion”, who rallied outside the New York Times building on Saturday.
Police say charges against them are pending.
A group spokesman says the protesters wanted to push the newspaper to give more urgency to its climate change coverage.
However, the times says it published about eight-hundred articles on the climate last year alone.
The NY times also says that it devotes more staff and resources to the subject than any other national news organization.
