A Cortland County man has been jailed without bail after he allegedly punched his 67-year-old mother in the face.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, David Bamberry’s mother needed “immediate medical attention” after he struck her.
Investigators say an argument between the 36-year-old man and his parents became physical when he tried to keep them from leaving their shared home on Texas Valley Road in the town of Freetown.
Deputies charged Bamberry with second-degree assault, a felony, and two counts of unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor.
Bamberry was arraigned in Town of Cordlandville Court and taken to the Cortland County jail.
He is scheduled to return to town court on Nov. 11.
