Two Hornell residents are facing identity theft and forgery charges.

After investigating an identity theft complaint filed in early March New York State Police in Wayland said they arrested 30-year-old Joshua Withrow and 29-year-old Haley Withrow on Saturday. They’re both charged with Identity Theft, Forgery, Criminal Impersonation and Falsifying Business Records.

The suspects allegedly used another person’s information to obtain a lease. They said the suspects signed victim’s name on a lease agreement without their consent.

Both suspects were arraigned in the Town of Freemont Court. Haley Withrow was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dansville Court next week.

Joshua Withrow was sent to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He’s also scheduled to appear in the Town of Dansville court next week.
